This policy explains which personal data we collect through iqsolutions.dev, what we use it for and what rights you have over it. It is written in line with Costa Rica’s Law on the Protection of Individuals regarding the Processing of their Personal Data (Law No. 8968) and its regulations. The Spanish version prevails in case of discrepancy.
Data controller
The controller of your data is Ian Quesada Moreno, trading as IQ Solutions, based in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
For any privacy question, write to hola@iqsolutions.dev.
Data we collect
- Data you give us in the contact form: name, email, phone or WhatsApp (optional), company (optional), the topic of your enquiry, your message and your preferred contact channel.
- Data you share by WhatsApp, email or phone when you contact us directly.
- Minimal technical data needed to deliver the site securely, such as your IP address and browser type. Our hosting and security provider processes it to prevent abuse and attacks.
Please don’t include sensitive data (for example health information, passwords or bank details) in the form. If we need it to provide a service, we will ask for it through a secure channel.
What we use your data for
- Replying to your enquiry and sending you information or quotes you requested.
- Providing the services you hire and communicating with you during the project.
- Protecting the site against spam, fraud and automated attacks.
- Meeting legal, accounting and tax obligations.
We don’t sell or rent your data, and we don’t use it to send you advertising without your consent.
Legal basis
We process your data with your informed consent, which you give by ticking the form checkbox or by contacting us voluntarily, and when necessary to prepare or deliver a service you requested. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Who we share your data with
To run the site and answer enquiries we use providers that process data on our behalf, under their own security measures:
- Cloudflare: site hosting, attack protection and the form’s anti-spam check (Turnstile).
- Transactional email provider: delivers form submissions to our inbox.
- Email provider: stores the enquiries we receive.
Some of these providers store information on servers outside Costa Rica, mainly in the United States. By submitting the form, you authorise that transfer for the sole purpose of handling your enquiry.
We only share data with authorities when a law or court order requires it.
How long we keep your data
- Enquiries that don’t become a project: up to 12 months after the last contact.
- Clients: for the duration of the business relationship and then for the periods required by accounting and tax law.
After that, we delete or anonymise the information.
Your rights
Under Law 8968 you can, at any time:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Rectify incorrect or incomplete data.
- Delete your data when it is no longer needed or you withdraw consent.
- Object to specific processing or revoke your consent.
To exercise these rights, write to hola@iqsolutions.dev describing your request. We may ask for a reasonable way to verify your identity. We will reply within the time limits set by Law 8968 and its regulations.
If you believe we did not handle your request properly, you can contact Costa Rica’s Data Protection Agency (PRODHAB).
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted mailbox access, multi-factor authentication on our accounts and providers with recognised security practices. No system is infallible, but we work to keep the risk as low as possible.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. We will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
